Book Trust

An independent charity that encourages people of all ages and cultures to discover and enjoy reading. The site includes a children’s books resource which recommends books for ages 0 – 16 and includes teacher’s resources, author interviews and other information.


National Literacy Association

The National Literacy Association works in partnership with a range of organisations to promote awareness of and support children’s literacy needs.


National Literacy Trust

An independent charity dedicated to building a literate nation. It runs a variety of initiatives including the National Reading Campaign.


Young Readers Programme

An initiative of the National Literacy Trust designed to inspire children to read for enjoyment.

A fantastic website of book reviews, all written by children and teenagers aged 10 to 15.


British Dyslexia Association

The ‘voice of dyslexic people’, they provide useful advice and help for parents.
