How to order

Of course, before you can order your titles, you need to know which titles you’re buying! Thanks to our Search tool, you can search through our catalogue with very little hassle. You are able to separate books by multiple categories including: Title, Author, ISBN,  Book Band (organised from lowest to highest), Accelerated Reader specs, Reading Age, Interest Age and more. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to find the right books; we hope this helps.

How to order

To buy from our website, click on the 'buy now' button which you will find on each title page. If you have a query about an online order you have placed, please telephone 01730 829091 or email orders@ransom.co.uk.

Full payment must be sent with your order, unless you are a trade customer or a UK school. All UK schools will be supplied on account.

Excel Order Forms

You can download Order Forms for all Ransom titles as Excel spreadsheets here. If you're making large or fiddly orders this might be useful.

Click on the order tab in the excel worksheet. Then type in the exact title of the products you want to order in column B. All the data for that title will be pulled in. Alternatively click on the All Data tab in the worksheet. Then add a quantity for each title in the right hand column J. The second option will not calculate the total price for you.

Order from our inhouse Schools Consultants

You can also order our books from our specialist Ransom literacy consultants. Our team are highly knowledgeable about using our books for phonics teaching, bookbands, accelerated reader and for pupils struggling with reading or special needs. Delivery Charges and Times

Orders placed online incur postage according to the weight of the order. The amount will be specified before you confirm your purchase.
For orders by post or telephone, postage and packaging will be charged as follows:

This price may be reduced for very small items. Items are normally dispatched within 48 hours and should be with you within 5 working days.

VAT

Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT. Books and, now also Ebooks, are zero rated for VAT in the UK so there is no VAT charged on any of Ransom books, Workbooks, Teachers Guides or Ebooks.

School or institutional ordering

Buying on account

Schools and educational institutions in the UK have automatic accounts with Ransom and books will be supplied with an invoice which is payable within 30 days. Schools can email orders@ransom.co.uk to place their order. Please supply a PO number if your school or payment office require one. Schools can order Ransom products online via this site but pay on an account. Go through the usual website process but at the checkout you can give your PO number and ask to be invoiced. You can also take advantage of the great discounts on offer to schools. If you have a leaflet offering a discount that is not available on the website please email us and we will apply the discount.

Buying On Approval

Schools and educational institutions in the UK can order Ransom on approval. However you will have to send any returns at your own cost. Alternatively you can ask for a schools consultant to visit you or ring us to discuss the possibility of samples.

Ordering out of stock or not yet published items

We are happy to take orders for books or packs which are out of stock or not yet published.  Add the title to your basket and you will be notified when it is published and can confirm your order at this stage.

Where can I purchase Ransom books in the UK?

If you are an individual purchaser or school you can order direct from this site via the Home Page. We also have a team of schools reps who can visit you and bring a selection of books for you to review. To book a rep visit email ransom@ransom.co.uk.
